French Drain Installation
Standing water in the yard or along the foundation? A properly graded French drain collects it and carries it away, and we restore the lawn when we are done.
How a French drain works
A French drain is a trench with perforated pipe set in washed stone and wrapped in fabric. Water soaks into the stone, enters the pipe and flows downhill to a safe discharge point. The details matter: the trench needs the right slope, the pipe needs to be sized for the water, and the outlet has to go somewhere the water won’t come back.
We route trenches around trees, utilities and the grade of your yard, then backfill and finish with sod or seed.

Questions we hear a lot
How long does a French drain install take?
Most residential French drains are installed in one to three days.
Where does the water go?
To a safe outlet such as a lower part of the yard, a drywell, or a curb or street discharge where allowed.
Will my yard be torn up?
There is a trench while we work, but we backfill and restore the lawn with sod when we finish.
